Dominick Montiglio NFT
A limited collection of unique NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain
What is the Dominick Montiglio NFT collection?
The Dominick Montiglio NFT project is a limited collection of unique NFTs based on the eccentric life and expansive artistic works of late mafia hitman Dominick Montiglio. Each 1/1 in this first collection of 5, combines unreleased audio and unique digital renderings of Dominick's physical art to encapsulate a moment in his eccentric life as a painter, musician, war hero, New Yorker and hitman for the Gambino crime family.

Dominick spent much of his life as a passionate outsider in the art world–constantly pulled away from his true calling as an artist and musician. This collection combines his original thoughts, inspirations and brushstrokes to build an immutable digital record of his life as an artist and his desire to define himself outside of the world he lived in.
DIGITAL TOKEN
The ERC-1155 token is linked to a digital rendering that combines Dominick’s hand drawn artwork with unreleased audio, covering subject matter from a specific period in his life
PHYSICAL ART
Ownership of each NFT grants the holder possession of the original, signed, 1/1 pencil sketch that was used to create that digital asset
HISTORICAL IP
Ownership also grants the holder of each NFT ownership rights to the unreleased audio IP contained in each file
THE BACKSTORY
The Dominick Montiglio NFT project was created by Ross Brodar, Bill Sharp and Austin Randall and traces its roots back to when Dominick began living and painting in Ross’s studio full time. As suspicious coexistence developed into true friendship and artistic collaboration, Dominick began to share angles of his story he had never expressed before.

Wanting to help Dominick get his story out on his own terms, Ross partnered with Bill to release The Lynchpin of Bensonhurst, a documentary covering Dominick's eccentric life. During the countless hours of talking, eating, painting and living, there were many times Dominick went into stories that seemed too strange or complex to be corroborated in the film. Some of those stories ended up being confirmed years later–others remained the private musings of a deeply conflicted man. In many of those more bizarre private moments, Dominick instructed Bill and Ross to withhold the video and audio from his official life’s story until after his passing–so it sat shelved until his death in 2021.

Several months later in Brooklyn, Ross and Bill took a meeting with Austin, a creative director and NFT consultant, to discuss the possibilities of releasing the art in a compelling new format that was as rebellious and dynamic as the man behind the brush. After being blown away by the breadth and authenticity of the assets and recognizing, in unison, their potential to generate a collection of groundbreaking on-chain works, the relationship organically shifted into a partnership.
